About Dr. Mandy Lu (she/her/ 她)
Psychologist | Online Therapy in Washington State + PSYPACT
In-person in North Seattle
I’m a clinical psychologist who guides adults to feel seen, less overwhelmed, and more connected to who they truly are. I bring clinical experiences enriched with lived experience straddling cultures and contexts. I was born and raised in Northeastern China and adopted to the United States at age 15, giving me a personal understanding of bicultural identity, complicated belonging, and the unspoken expectations many people carry but rarely name.
My style is warm, attuned, and collaborative. I pay close attention to the patterns beneath the surface and ask questions that help you get to know the parts of yourself that never had space to speak. I balance deep reflection with practical skills so you leave sessions with clarity and direction, not confusion.

How I Work
Therapy with me is a mix of curiosity, compassion, and honest reflection. Together, we’ll name the patterns shaping your life and explore what they’re trying to protect. I use evidence-based methods like interpersonal process therapy, CBT, mindful self-compassion, and identify-affirming approaches. I also understand neurodiversity, impacts of trauma, and meet you where you are, not where you think you’re supposed to be.
This work can be hard, but we still find humor in the room. Humor is part of healing.
Outside Sessions
Outside of work, I love listening to music and trying new recipes. My retired, racing greyhound and chihuahua mix are my trusty sidekicks. I also enjoy traveling with friends and family, recently through New England and going up Mt. Washington by cog railway.
If you're ready to begin therapy, explore your story, or feel more grounded in who you are, I’d be honored to walk with you.
